Most of us are lacking in omega-3 "good" fats.  Omega-3's can be found in fatty fish, such as Salmon, walnuts, flaxseeds and flaxseed oil.  The shortfall of omega-3's may increase the risk of various disorders.  A few conditions and signs that have been linked to low omega-3 intake:

Low immunity
Allergies
Low engergy
Dry, red eyes
Cardiovascular disease
ADD, ADHD and problems with memory and learning
Inflammation and joint diseases
Dry skin and hair

Try to increase your intake of fish oils (moleculary distilled supplements do not contain the heavy lead mercury, a contaminant found in many types of fish), freshly ground flaxseeds, or flaxseed oil.  More recommendations for increasing your intake of essential fat.
